The Nike Dunk Low “UNLV” is an original colorway from the previous performance basketball shoe included in the 1985 “Be True to Your School Pack.” Back in January 2021, “UNLV” refers to a Dunk formula designed exclusively for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball team during the model’s initial product cycle in the 1980s. For a contemporary reissue, Nike keeps the original look the same. The results are clearly favorable. Red skin overlays can be found on the forefoot, toe cap, and holes, and heels. Vast Gray from the Las Vegas School District is featured on the perforated toe, mid panel, collar, and heel. Additional red accents are featured on the leather Swoosh tag that appears on both sides and on the heel base and shoelaces. Gray “Nike” embroidery sewn onto the back of the shoe. A thin nylon tongue showcases the classic Nike Air branding to complete the look.
